From the airport, you will be efficiently transferred to the Volunteer House, which will serve as your home throughout your volunteering experience in Kenya. The Volunteer House offers a nurturing environment that fosters a sense of community and provides unwavering support for volunteers, especially those starting their journey as teachers in Nairobi. During your volunteer orientation, special emphasis is placed on understanding the vibrant culture of Kenya, ensuring safety measures, and gaining insights into the country's economy. As a Volunteer you are educated about local customs, traditions, and etiquette. You are also provided with information regarding safety protocols and emergency procedures. Additionally, you learn about Kenya's economy and the socio-economic challenges faced by the local communities. Your teaching volunteering Responsibilities and expectations are outlined to ensure volunteers are aware of their roles and can make a positive impact during their volunteering experience in Kenya.
After completing the orientation program, your volunteering journey as a teacher in Nairobi, Kenya begins. As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to teach various subjects depending on your interest area. Whether it's math, English, science, physical education, or even a foreign language like German or French, there are plenty of options to choose from. Not only will you be imparting knowledge to the students, but you will also have the chance to learn Swahili, the local language spoken widely in Nairobi.
